Story

Edgerton & Co.’s story began a century ago on the riverbanks of Stillwater, Minnesota, where four generations of founder Charlie McGlynn’s family built a legacy in lumbering and community investment. Charlie’s great uncle Edgerton stood at the helm for 60 years. Sharing with Charlie a commitment to hard work, caring for others, and enjoying life, Edgerton became our company’s namesake, cementing a tradition of heritage and heart.

Years in the industry and a profound personal loss only reinforced what Charlie already knew—construction isn’t just about the final product. It’s about the relationship built along the way. Edgerton & Co. exists to make sure homeowners feel confident in every step of the process, knowing they have a builder who puts thoughtfulness, transparency, and quality first.

Charlie McGlynn,
President/Owner

Charlie has had a lifelong appreciation for the value of quality craftsmanship and heartfelt relationships. He learned early on that a good day’s work is deeply satisfying, but what matters most are the people you meet along the way. With years of experience in high-end residential construction, he brings a sharp eye for detail and a steady hand in guiding clients through the process. His work has been featured in Architectural Digest and Domino, but he is most proud of building a reputation as The Thoughtful Builder, leading with transparency and care with his team and clients.

Justin England,
Director of Construction

Justin has built his career on precision, problem-solving, and doing things the right way. Starting out as a framer and site supervisor, he learned how details make the difference in high-end construction. Today, as Director of Construction at Edgerton & Co., he oversees each of our projects, making sure every decision is thoughtful, every build is solid, and every client feels confident along the way.

Neal Perbix,
Project Director

Neal sees construction as a creative challenge—one that requires both big-picture thinking and attention to the smallest details. With a background in art, set building, and general contracting, he knows how to bring a vision to life while keeping projects running smoothly. At Edgerton & Co., he’s a problem-solver, collaborator, and calm guide for both clients and the build team.

Lindsay McGlynn,
Administrative Manager

While the team runs construction projects, Lindsay helps run the company. With a background in project and account management in the creative industry, she’s the one making sure things stay organized behind the scenes. She keeps the details in check – so the team can focus on delivering great work.
